So, I have finally decided to make our blog into a book. I found this awesome website and you make it into a hard bound book. I am so excited, it is going to be so cute. We are in the process of converting it right now and I think it will take a while. So worth it though because it is so cute. You can put pictures on the hardcover and everything. I think that this has just replaced any scrapbook that I was planning on making. Instead of doing each person an individual scrapbook we are just going to have a family book. Which I like a lot better and I have already told Stewart I was only going to one big family scrapbook so there you go. It is going to be a great size to, I think it is 13x11. Stay tuned for the finished product. I am so glad I started a blog, even though Stewart said it was lame. Although now he thinks it is the coolest thing ever too and he is totally stoked about the book too:)

Lions and Tigers and Dolphins.... oh my!
For our family day this week we went to the Mirage to check out the dolphin habitat. They also have white tigers, lions, leopards and llamas. They were so awesome to see and so beautiful. I can't believe the lions, they were amazing and very well groomed. Ella of course wouldn't take her nap that day so we had a few meltdowns along the way but over all I think she enjoyed it. We also had Grammy and Gramps along for the ride. We ended the day with the Forum Shops. We went to see the aquarium, which Ella LOVED, and then we went to FAO Schwartz. She had a great time running everywhere but I think her favorite part was going up and down the escalators. Maybe when she is older she will appreciate a three story toy store.

She is so excited about family day... can't you tell:)

Happy Easter!
She was very happy about her Easter stuff. She got new bath toys, bath crayons and some candy.
We tried to get a better picture of her dress but what can you do, she is only one and has a mind of her own. She looked darling.
" What else is in my basket?"
Sunday afternoon we went and had dinner with my in-laws. The food was great and Ella was in a crazy mood and was showing off for everyone. She is such a little ham and I wish I would have caught it on camera but by the time I thought about it, it was to late. Thanks to Thom and Kathryn for having us over for dinner.
On Saturday we had two Easter egg hunts. One at the town square mall and one at my in-laws. It was fun, we had Kristin, Landon and Elliot over which Ella is always a fan of. It was cute to see the little kids get all the candy and put it in there baskets. Ella did a great job and has a new found love of jellybeans. After the hunt Elliot and Ella had a great time jumping on the trampoline and almost got trampled a few times by the bigger kids. But they still had a great time:)
Ella waiting to go out for the Easter egg hunt. Just a little inpatient:)
They were so cute jumping. They both would just say, "jump, jump"
A random picture I found when I downloaded the pictures. Stewart must have been bored when they dropped me off to run into the store.

Spring Break!
Stewart has been on Spring Break this week. WOHOO!!!! We have had such a fun week. He has also been such a huge help around the house. To bad we aren't filthy rich and can both just stay at home and have fun little adventures. We went to red rock this week and went on a little hike. We went with some friends and we both have little girls so it had to be short and sweet. It was actually a "children's" trail and it led to a waterfall. It was fun but Ella just wanted to walk the whole thing and play in the ICY COLD WATER. She has such a mind of her own, which drives me a little nuts but I also love that about her. She was bright red, but that didn't stop her from playing in it. Ella had fun with her adorable little friend Elliot. She is such a little sweetheart. We have also made some park trips and actually got to go swimming today. My camera batteries died so I didn't get any cute pictures of Ella. We have had some beautiful weather here in Vegas. Tomorrow I have to work for a bit in the morning and then we have a few Easter egg hunts. We are going to one at the new Town Square mall, which I love. It will probably be a little packed but it will still be a blast. Then my mother in law is having one in her backyard. I think we are going to end up with lots of candy. It has been a great week spending time with my little family. Ella is at such a great age and loves to go explore new places. I love t:) Happy Easter to everyone:)

Floyd Lamb State Park
BEWARE!!!
So we seriously live one minute from this place. Stewart used to go as a kid and always talks about it, so we FINALLY went the other day. He calls it the peacock park because they have a bunch there and he has called it that since he was little. It was so fun, and I have learned that geese are VERY aggressive. We just walked around for a while and they have a few huge ponds with ducks and geese. I was sad that we didn't bring any food to feed them and then realized I had Ella's cheerios in the car. I go get them and get back in time to see Ella has been splashing around in the nasty pond water. This is what happens when Stew is in charge, but I just let her keep doing it because she was having a ball. So we decide to finally throw the food in the water and I think these birds don't eat that well because all at once they come flying and skidding through the water. At this point everything is fine. The ducks are eating up the cheerios and by this time the geese make it our way. They get out of the water and are honking and honking at us and just getting closer and closer. There were three, so it was a little frightening. So they get so close I have to grab Ella and I am running and laughing so hard because they are chasing us and just wouldn't let up so we just ran to the other pond and left them in the dust. I guess it is feed at your own risk:) I am laughing as I type this but I think you had to be there. Ella was not scared at all and just wanted to stay and pet them. After all this we make it to the stables and we get to see baby goats, cows and some little lambs. Ella liked them, I think because they didn't make to much noise. We also were able to see the infamous peacocks I have heard so much about and there were tuns of them, it was really cool. I think that Ella and I will be there a lot because it is so close and it's pretty big so I am planning on packing her up in the jogging stroller and running through the park because they have lots of sidewalks to run on. Although I might just be scared of the geese, they rule the roost there and they have lots of those buggers walking around. Good times:)
Ella and Daddy
The peacocks were everywhere. It was pretty sweet. They were nice and didn't chase us.
Ella playing in the pond water, checking out the nice duckies.
Here they come to attack us, at one point they were all on that ledge, and as Stewart put they were hissing at us. Unfortunitly we only got one on the ledge because we were both to scared to
Ten dollars to anyone who can tell me what the heck kinda bird this is. Stew and I decided its a cross between a chicken, a large pigeon body and a duck with weebed feet. Am I crazy or is this bird very unusual. Great, maybe it is something in the water.
Are those crazy birds gone yet?
This is just some of the random video we took at the park- it's pretty funny.
Lieds Children Museum
This past week my sister in law Anna and I took the kids to the children's museum. They all had a good time checking everything out and discovering new things. Ella loved just walking around playing with everything. It is a little old and run down and could use a little makeover but we will definitely be back. Ella didn't want to leave, she tried to run back in as we were leaving but she got over it pretty quick. It is so fun to watch Ella discover new things and she how excited she gets with everything.

They had a cute little "Smiths" for them to shop, weigh, and check out the groceries they picked out with a little cash register.

Ella inside the big bubble, as you can see she is not to sure about it:) Although they had big tables that you can make huge bubbles with and Ella loved it. She is a big fan a bubbles lately. She has some at home she loves to blow in the back yard.

Ella and Jake were especially fond of anything with water.

Shark Reef at Mandaly Bay
Today was a GREAT day. After some lame homework Stewart had we decided to have a family day and headed down to Mandalay Bay. I thought Ella would like it but I had no idea that she would absolutely love it. I can't believe how excited she was. She would run from tank to tank blowing kisses at the fish, waving at them saying hi, and even kissing the glass. It was so cute to watch. She would just stand there and laugh and clap her hands. She literally could not get enough. At one part you can actually touch some fish so we just set her on the ledge and she turned around and tried to scoot in..... so funny. Then we went to the new town square mall and walked around and let her play in the darling playground they have there. I love my little family so much and had such a great day just spending time with them. I couldn't have asked for a better husband or a more adorable daughter- they make me so happy.

This pretty much sums up how much she LOVED the Shark Reef. I'm sure we will be back soon.

Ella and Daddy checking out all the little fish. This was when we fist walked in and she was sooo excited she couldn't sit still. So much to look at:)

This is a scary picture of me but oh well. Ella is trying to escape from my grasp to go look at all the other fish.

Trying to climb into the fish tank..... to bad the glass is so dang thick:)
