DiSnEyLaNd

Nothing better than a last minute trip to the happiest place on earth:) Friday morning I called Stewart at work and asked him if he wanted to go to Cali for the weekend. That afternoon we were on the road and Ella couldn't have been more thrilled. Saturday we hit up Disneyland and had sooooo much fun. It wasn't as busy as I feared it would be which meant we went on lots of rides multiple times. Ella's favorites include Buzz light year, It's a small world, the carousel, and the autopia cars. The cars were a pretty crazy ride since Ella drove and she can't see over the steering wheel. She is such a little dare devil- we took her on the roller coater in toon town and really liked it. She even put her hands up for parts..... only 4 more inches and we will be on splash mountain. We had such a great weekend away with our little family- it was just what we needed:) We also went ot the beach- I will post pictures later!

Subway Hike: 2009

Two weekends ago we headed up to Zion with some friends and went on the subway hike. We only took a few pictures but oh well. We had a great time this year and the weather was perfect. It is a 9 mile hike all in back country and you have to get a permit to do it. You hike down into slot canyons and then you swim through the canyons in freezing cold water (thank goodness for wet suits.) It has a few parts that you repel. We were pretty sore the second day but it was all worth it:)

Daddy Daughter Date

Stewart decided to take Ella out on a little date last week. I had enrichment so they went to dinner and then went to Red Rock. Ella loves to go there and just run around and climb on rocks. She had a great time with her Daddy..... they are two peas in a pod:)

The funny things Miss Ella says

Stewart and I were trying to decide what to do with Ella so we were spelling out words. We talked about going to the p-a-r-k! We didn't even think she was paying attention. In the car she says, " I want to go to the p-r-ck and play." I don't even know how she knew what we were spelling. A few letter off but that is pretty good:)

We asked Ella if she wanted to go get ice cream after the park and she said, " I want strawberry ice cream with sprinklers."

We were shopping and I said to Ella, "you are a monkey," and she looked at me and said.... " I not a monkey I a child of God!"

Stewart and I are getting new phones in a few days. Yesterday I said to him, "guess what we get in just a few more days?", and Ella says to me (very excited) "PRESENTS."

The other night I was getting Ella ready for bed. I was brushing Ella's teeth in the bathroom and she was acting really silly so I called her a tool. She says to me, " no, I a hammer:)"

Ella's fav pastime is reading books. My Mom got her a book about the Nativity. We were reading it and she was pointing everyone out. She then pointed to one of the wise men with a white beard and said, "this king Triton." (The little mermaid)
