BRIANHEAD

This week we went up to Brian Head for a Christensen Family vacation. We had a Fan-Tab-u-Los time: My pictures are out of order and I am to tired to fix them. Some of the fun things we did were:

We played with sticks

We swung and swung away on the tire swing in the back of the cabin- the kids all took turns, which can be very hard

Most of the Christensen clan put together a 2000 piece puzzle of Time Square. I only put in like ten pieces- so needless to say I wasn't much help

We ate at tasty Milts.... and Jake and Ella entertained us:)

Stewart and I went to two plays. Two Gentlemen of Verona and Cyrano( which was my fav)

We played on the grass by the Green Show before the plays

Ella hung out with Grandpa for a bit and actually watched the green show

We loved hanging with the cousins- Ella, Adam, Ainsley and Jake

Ella tried on a few costumes

All in all we had a great time. The plays were fun, the cousins had fun hanging out, we ate lots, and sat around a whole lot and Ella was very upset she had to go in the Day care set up for people who go to the plays. I don't know if I will take her back- she sat in a dirty diaper the first night (we are still battling a diaper rash) and the second night her shorts were soaked from pee. How hard is it to change a diaper folks, and if you don't want to, don't work at a place where you take care of children. I am still a little bitter. All the other cousins were pretty well taken care of, and had their diapers changed. Well, except they thought they had lost little Jakey, but no worries:) Now I have to do laundry because we are headed to New York on Thursday. I am so excited:)

A random post

This week we had a pretty laid back week. Nothing exciting. Although we have finally painted our room- which I am totally excited about. Ella and I have also been playing some games. She really likes candy land and a matching game that we have. It is pretty fun to play with her.

Ella has been going pee-pee on the potty. She isn't potty trained yet but has been asking to go and will tell me when she has to go on the potty. We have had a few accidents. I wasn't really ready for potty training yet but I guess come September we might attempt it.

Right now I should be packing- we are headed to Brian Head Tuesday for the week. And I am working ALL day tomorrow. I am really excited to make it to some cooler weather and to just relax. Then the next week we are going to NYC. Wohoo!

Eldorado Mine

We went to the Old Eldorado Mine with Stewart's family. It is just outside Las Vegas, and it was the largest gold mine in Nevada. A family bought it and now runs it and they do tours and things. They have filmed movies there and do photo shoots there all the time. It was pretty cool, and it was funny to hear about all the stories of murders and back stabbing that went on way back when no law was in forced. The little kids did not like it too well, especially when the turned out the lights so we could see how dark it was. We then went to hang out around the Colorado river and kayaked and just hung out. Ella loves the water and just loved sitting in the kayak- that must be because she didn' have to paddle:)

So taking family pictures was interesting..... thats for sure. I am glad we did the pictures of Ella in her tutu first because when it was time for family pictures she wasn't having it. Ella does not like the camera. But thanks to my fab SIL photographer Anna. Check out the rest here!
