A day in the life of Luke.....

My cute lil' man is eleven months today. What! I hate it. So instead of the normal monthly post I am going to list all the reasons this not so little guy is a pill:) And a complete busy body.

- Literally can NOT sit still

-All doors (especially bathroom doors) must remain shut at all times or he will make his way to his favorite place, the toilet. Which he has been known to play in. Thank goodness Ella is good at flushing the toilet.

- He likes to open all cupboards and take things out

-Shuts himself in rooms by closing the door then sits in front of it and cries. The other day I was getting ready and thank goodness i was in my room with him because he shut my door then the little pill locked it.

- Spits his food out as soon as he is done, and it goes EVERYWHERE. Or he swats at the spoon.

-Can open draws and pulls thing out. He loves our junk draw- he can't even see he just reached over and pulls things out.

-GRINDS his teeth (drives me crazy)

-Thinks "no" is so funny. Or he will burst into tears. Depends on his mood I guess.

-Has been leaving tuns of bite marks on his crib- his tops teeth are going to be tiny is he keeps this up. Ella did it a few times as a baby but there are at least 20 marks where he has dug his teeth in.

-Did I mention he never sit still:)

-He can get lids open- no the kind that unscrew but like lids on baby puffs and such.

-Carries everything in his mouth like a puppy dog

- I love my busy little man. Happy eleven months.

Valentine's Day

I wonder if it get's easier to get a decent picture of my kid's as they get older?!?! I'm guessing, no! Ella has a hard time containing Luke for longer than a second.

Grammy got them pj's for Valentine's Day:) So we were trying to get a picture.

Ella and I made these for her pre-school class for her Valentine. Yummy rice krispies dipped in white chocolate. Ella loves, loves to help make anything in the kitchen. She is my little helper. She helps me with dinner all the time so I thought these would be fun for her.

Quick trip to Brian Head

We made a quick trip with the Davidson's to Brian Head. Elliot and Ella always have a fun time playing together and entertain each other for hours, with a few fights in between. It's so nice to be able to go up and enjoy Stewart's parents cabin and it's only a 3 hour drive. I only took a few pictures during the weekend and it was all within an hour...oops.

Carlsbad Half- Marathon

We DID it!!! Our first half-marathon was a success:) We ran the Carlsbad half marathon in January. We started and finished together and helped each other keep going along the way. Our time was 2:17 minutes which is fine with me for our first time, and me just having a c- section and baby ten months before hand. A big thanks to my mom and the Comptons for watching our kids for the weekend. We were also able to get away childless and celebrate six years of marital bliss:) lol. We ran it with my sister in law and Stew's parents. Everyone did great and it was a fun accomplishment.
