mY LiTtLe MaKe- Up aRtIsT

I asked her to hold up her arm and she did this

She was showing me the mascara globs on her hand

We were rushing out the door this morning when I walked in to my room and saw this. I said " Oh my gosh Ella" and must have scared her because she started bawling. That and I think she knew it was a no,no. I was mad for a second and then had to laugh so hard, and have contined to do so all day. We were headed to the puppet show at the library and ended up being a couple of minutes late.... I wonder why? I had to scrub mascara off of Ella's face, all day I have continued to find black on her. I guess she can unscrew thing now. Watch out.

Memorial Day (weekend) fun!

Monday we headed to Floyd Lamb to bbq with Kristen, Landon and Elliot. The girls had fun seeing the barn animals, peacocks, and feeding the ducks. They even let us squeeze in a game a boche ball. We had a good time and then decided to go hang out in the hot tub. It was pretty relaxing and the girls did great and there was no whining even though we hung out kinda late. We are so glad that the girls play so well together so us adults can all hang out. And it's so nice for Ella to have a friend her age. We have been doing so many fun things with her. Check out future posts:)

Trying to share with each other

Stewart and Landon partying it up

The ducks were pretty full, I think they had been fed all day long

Saturday afternoon we went to The District and Town square to walk around and enjoy out wonderful weather. Ella had a great time riding the carousel and dancing around to the band playing at town square. She loves to be out and about doing things... she is so funny. It was a great afternoon and we enjoyed the stormy weather.

Riding the carousel for the first time

Doesn't Ella look so happy

Sitting on the patio before it rained and we went inside:)

Sorry about all the post's below.... I was a bit behind and Stewart kept giving me a hard time about all the stuff I hadn't blogged about yet:)

Happy Birthday Ainsley

Danielle and Tommy were in town this past weekend and we had an early birthday bash for little Ainsley who turns one in June. We had Cafe Rio, swam and then had some tasty cake and ice cream. I forgot to get out my camera for the cake but here are some swimming ones. The boys took their little girls out for a little swim before dinner. Happy Birthday to Ainsley..... I can't believe you are going to be a year old already.

Ella is not to sure about the pool

Ella and Daddy loving the water

Ella and Ainsley chillin on the raft

Ella loves to long board..... unfortunately for her this one has no wheels:)
Stewart had a major project due a week or so ago for his studio class. He had been up for a few weeks prior leading up to the project due date until like 4 am. It was crazy, and he is a perfectionist so he is really hard on himself. His project turned out great but he was really nervous to go present to the jury so Ella and I made him a little sign and sent him the picture on his phone. Yay.... school is over:) At least for a little while..... and he will be home at night with me and Ella, wohoo!

Zacc and Lynzee's 2nd Birthday

The twin's had their 2nd birthday bash a few weeks ago. They had a real petting zoo come to their house and it was really cute. Ella petted the animals for a few minutes but was over it and didn't want much to do with them after that. She did like the ducks and she would follow them around saying, "quack, quack!" Happy Birthday Zacc and Lynzee:)

Ella's favorite food...... she loves to slurp her noodles:)

We Survived! (dispite Shana's fears)

The Subway is awesome and I highly recommend it. 8 of us met Saturday morning at 4am and drove to Zion (we got a $82 ticket along the way). It took us longer than expected to get there and get our permits but we finally got started at 10:15. We were told at the back country desk that the water was excruciatingly cold and moving high and fast so we were a little nervous but it turned out that he was exaggerating slightly. It was very cold but our wetsuits made it a lot of fun, in the summer you dont need wetsuits but this time of year they're a must. The hike is long and tiring but the water and slot canyons make it all worth it. There was a good amount of water so we had to swim more then any other time I have done the hike (it was sweet). At the bowling ball boulder (see pics) we had to take off our backpacks to fit through the canyon as we swam. We were all freezing but it was a blast. Again, if your looking for a sweet hike you have to try the Subway. After 8 hours of hiking we drove home and crashed in bed. We are still feeling the hike 3 days later but it was well worth it.
we took lots of pictures here are a "few"

That splash is me falling into a hole that I didnt see (look for the top of my head) :) hahaha

Shana is loving the cold right now.

At the end of the cool parts of the hike. :(

Let's hope we survive

This might be my last post ever. On Saturday we are going to Zion to hike the subway with some friends. Which is normally a fun hike where you have to swim through water. Well, some friends of ours have done it recently and had to wear full on wet suits. That's right folks "wet suits" on a hike. It is freezing cold water and I think that I am going to die of HYPOTHERMIA. So if you check out our blog soon we might have pictures of the hike or the time and date for my funeral. I love you all..... it's been real.

p.s...... I JUST FOUND OUT THEY ALSO HAVE MOUNTAIN LIONS...... peace out

I was thinking about mother's day coming up and how much my life has changed since I became a mother. Then I decided to write down a few things that are the what being a mother is all about, and the things that get us from day to day. I guess just the little things that I love about being a mom. So here are a few, and then I want to hear, "what are the little things you love about being a mother?"

- Slobbery kisses ...... and her squeeze hugs
- Watching her sleep
- Family days
- Kissing her "ouches" better
- Reading her favorite books.... over and over
- Her baldness, it makes me feel like she is still a baby
- Chubby legs (hers, not mine:)
- Watching her learn new things everyday
- Listening to her talk to her stuffed animals
- her singing and dancing
- having a daughter that loves jewelry.... already at a young age
- how she loves her daddy
- Pig tails
- Always being surprised how much I love this little girl
- how innocent she is
- seeing her first thing every morning
- just her energy for life and how she loves and gets so excited about so many things we take for granted
- I love how she is the center of our world
