Opinions Please

So I have ventured into the world of looking for the perfect double stroller!!! And maybe there are about ten million different kinds. All of you moms of more than one child- suggestions please. I really like the one below. I don't want the double wide and I need enough room for storage plus I kind of want both seats to recline- am I being to picky?!?!

please, PLEASE help a sista out:)

Springs Preserve- and the last post! I promise.

Last night we went with the Davidson's to the Springs Preserve for some Halloween fun. The girls got all dressed up and got to do little trick or treating. It was really cute how they had it all decorated and decked out for Halloween. Ella is Raggedy Ann again this year for two reasons 1. her costume is a 2-4t and so it still fits perfect. 2. It is the cutest darn costume ever so I couldn't help but have her wear it again.

We played some carnival games

It was a good effort but poor Ella didn't win, but she did get these sweet glasses!

The fog machine- Raggedy Ann and Elliot the chicken were scared of the fog at first. It didn't take long for them to warm up to it and before we knew it they were pretending it was snow

Disneyland: Ella's 3rd birthday

For Ella's birthday this year, instead of a party we went to Disneyland. What better way to spend your third birthday. We started off the day with the Minnie and friends breakfast. It is a little pricey but totally worth it. Ella had such a great time. All the characters come around to your table and spend a few minutes. Ella was in pure heaven. She hugged each character so tight. When she saw Minnie she just about jumped off her chair. It was so cute. She just stared at her and hugged her, she even touched her checks and her face like she thought she was dreaming or something. It was a great way to start a fun day. It was the perfect day for Disneyland. No lines- the weather was perfect, not to hot or cold. We had such a fun time and were able to spend time at both parks. A big thanks to my Mom and Trent for taking all of us.

So the story behind the balloon picture: Ella got a balloon at the breakfast and we had it all day and she of course loved it. So at the end of the night we were waiting for the tram and I opened her stroller to let her out and bye, bye balloon. She didn't notice but then Stew said, " there goes her balloon." Oops! She looks up just in time to see it floating away and burst into tears. She is just reaching up to the sky saying, "my balloon." Nothing helped. Seriously the saddest thing ever. She is just so sad I couldn't believe it. So on the way back to our hotel we made a pit stop at Von's and picked up a few balloons. Stewart says she is too spoiled but come on folks it was her birthday. And it was my fault we lost the balloon.

California: October 2009

We went on our yearly Horn/Christensen/Abate/Compton family vacation and had a blast. We headed to Newport beach the first day. Every time we go to the beach Ella tells me it is her favorite place to be. Never fails. The girl loves the beach. She could dig in the sand and chase the waves for hours. Good thing she has a Dad who can't sit still, just like her:) It was a little cold to be in a swimming suit but that didn't stop her from having a good time.

Grammy and Miss Ella

The boys played a sweet football game- Stewart was sore for day because he bit the dust a few times.

Daddy and Ella

To blog, or not to blog.....

that is the question:) I am so behind that I can't seem to find motivation. So here is an attempt to get some of what we have been up to on here. Our camera was broken for a while so I don't have pictures of some of the activities.

We did go on a really fun trip with Stewart's family to Oceanside. I left on a Wednesday with Kathryn, Danielle and the little girls and the rest of the boys met up with us later in the week. We hit up the beach and Disneyland. It was a fun trip- but like I said no camera so no pictures.

We also went up to the cabin to celebrate Grandpa Christensen's 80th birthday. It was a lot of fun- we love Grandpa Christensen. He is such a great person and we all love o be around him.

Sometimes Ella thinks she is still a baby:)

Four generations- the only picture that looks ok. Ella is a pill when it comes to getting her picture taken

Sweet Amber

September 15, 1978-October 14, 2009
Amber was the strongest person
and fought one hard fight.
What a great example she set in how to live our lives. We love her and know she is in a better place.

Check out her journey here.
