Wohoo!

We are now a BINKY FREE household. She had a hard time the first day and had to cry for about a half hour at bedtime, but she hasn't had it since monday morning. I think she has already forgotten about it. I still feel bad however, but I am glad it's over. And now it's like she never had it and I don't have to worry about having one in case she needs to go to bed while we are out.

Movie in the Park

This last weekend we went to the park by our house that had a fun little movie in the park. It started about 6 with free ice cream and face painting. They also had a DJ and water balloon toss'. The movie started about 8:30, it was really fun and I am glad that we went.

In other news: wish us luck. We took away the binky tonight clod turkey. I got them all and told her to say bye, bye and that she was a big girl now. She had one last suck and kissed them and then I had her throw them away. She cried for about 20 minutes. We will see how it goes tonight. I took her picture a while after she fell asleep, and she has a tight hold of her "swaddle."

Sea World and Pacific Beach

We left Sunday night for San Diego. We hit some traffic and didn't make it there until one am. We got up early and had breakfast and headed to Sea World. Ella was crabby to say the least because of her lack of sleep, and anyone who knows Ella knows she needs her sleep. Long story short, about a half hour after we got there Stewart asked Ella if she wanted to take a nap in her stroller and she agreed and was out in record time. So she slept through the first couple hours. Then she woke up and we went to all the shows. Her favorite animal were the seals. She even feed them some fish, and surprised me by touching them. We had a great time, and a big thanks for the Davidson's for putting up with our crazy family.

WARNING: LOTS OF PICTURES BELOW

Stewart and I decided to set our timer and take some pictures while Ella slept:)

Ella love Bert and Ernie before they tried to hold her. When she first went up to them she was so excited to show them her shoes. Maybe she noticed their XL shoes:)

After Sea World and a little resting in the hotel we hit up the Gas Lamp Quarter. LOVE IT. It is so fun to walk around and check out everything. Ella fell asleep in the car on the way there and slept through dinner and walking around. Wiped out from Sea World.

The sun must be to bright for Ella... lol!

Waiting for the Dog show to start

She loved the Elmo ride. She was really mad when it ended.

They weren't to sure about the water so Kristin filled up our little bucket with water

Then Ella decided the water wasn't so bad

At least for a few minutes, and then she remembered she didn't like the sand. Heaven forbid her hands or feet get a little dirty.

Happy Birthday Stewart

The guy playing the guitar and Ella wondering what the heck is going on

Just wanted to wish Stew a happy birthday. Thanks for everything you do for us. You are the best husband and daddy ever.

Grandma Christensen took all the grand kids to the Shark Reef. I only took a few pictures and didn't get a group shot. Only cousin missing is lil' Ainsley. We missed you:)

Lovin' the Lake

I forgot how much I love the lake. We went out yesterday and had a BLAST. I wasn't sure how Ella would do but she loved it. We went out with our great friends The Nix's and they were nice enough to let us hang out with them for the day. John took us on the tube and through the narrows. We even took Ella on the tube. Stewart, Ella and I were on it and she wasn't too sure about it. I was so mad my camera died so we didn't get a picture but she looked so cute holding on tight and waving at the people on the boat. The water felt great and Ella always just wanted to be in the lake. We had fun jumping off the top of the houseboat into the lake, until Stewart dove in and ruptured his ear drum. He has done it once before so he is pretty sure that is what happened. He had to have it fixed before because it wouldn't heal itself so we will see. It is much better today. And thanks to Grammy for coming with us, Ella always loves when you come with us:)

Ella loved kayaking around with Daddy

Almost time.....

to say goodbye to the beloved binky that is. She has four months until she is two and that is it. No more. I think that she is just to old to have it. When I see her with it in her mouth I think she just looks to old to have it. Am I mean? She can only have her bink when it is time for a nap or bed time. She does love it, but she has a blanket that she is extremely attached to so I am hoping that will make it easier. So, I am trying to decide the best way to do it. Suggestions please?

I do have to say that I love that she has loved her binky so much. I hope all my kids will take them:)
