3.25.2007

My first hike!!!

We went on our first family hike. Ella loved it, she loves to be outdoors. Stewart is a happy daddy, so proud his daughter likes red rock. She was laughing and smiling and licking her baby carrier. She is getting so big. Still a great sleeper.... usually 10-12 hours. Sweet. I just need to get to bed sooner. She also loves to talk all through church, and scream. I think that she likes how it echos, or the sound of her voice. She is even starting to sit up pretty well. Oh how the time flies:).

Still love to sleep!!!

Ella has the cutest sleeping positions. She is settling in for a long night sleep. Last night she slept from 7pm until 7:30am. It was great. Mom just needs to adjust to that. The picture below it one of her favorite little blankets. She puts it right next to her face when she gets tired, she loves to rub stuff against her face.

Umm, is this a big bath tub?

So, we decided its getting warm lets take Ella swimming. She wasn't too sure about the whole thing but overall she seemed to enjoy it. She is at such a fun age, discovering new things. Now that she is awake for longer than five minutes. We will see if she still likes her bath after this experience.

Rock Climbin!!!

One of Stewart's favorite pastimes is rock climbing. He loves to go to red rock whenever he has free time. He doesn't get to go as often as he would like because he is so busy at school. If only he could live at red rock, he would be a happy man.

I like this!!!

I like that my Dad thinks that Popsicles are one of the five basic food groups. Yummy!!

Ella Hazel- 5 months

Ella is going to be five months on the 2oth of March. Crazy!!!! She is rolling over, laughing, and just pretty much enjoying life as a baby. She is such a crazy baby- she likes peas. Although not a huge fan of carrots. We have discovered that she loves her jumper and she goes crazy in it. She is getting so big- weighing in at 15.5 pounds, mostly in the cheeks and legs.

The funny things Miss Ella says

Stewart and I were trying to decide what to do with Ella so we were spelling out words. We talked about going to the p-a-r-k! We didn't even think she was paying attention. In the car she says, " I want to go to the p-r-ck and play." I don't even know how she knew what we were spelling. A few letter off but that is pretty good:)

We asked Ella if she wanted to go get ice cream after the park and she said, " I want strawberry ice cream with sprinklers."

We were shopping and I said to Ella, "you are a monkey," and she looked at me and said.... " I not a monkey I a child of God!"

Stewart and I are getting new phones in a few days. Yesterday I said to him, "guess what we get in just a few more days?", and Ella says to me (very excited) "PRESENTS."

The other night I was getting Ella ready for bed. I was brushing Ella's teeth in the bathroom and she was acting really silly so I called her a tool. She says to me, " no, I a hammer:)"

Ella's fav pastime is reading books. My Mom got her a book about the Nativity. We were reading it and she was pointing everyone out. She then pointed to one of the wise men with a white beard and said, "this king Triton." (The little mermaid)
